Overview

With a maximum of 13 people, this small-group tour takes in the beauty of Antelope Canyon X without the crowds. Travel round-trip by minivan from your Las Vegas hotel to Arizona, and explore the canyon with a Navajo guide. Hike out to the sheer rock face at Horseshoe Bend and stop at a scenic overlook for views of Lake Powell.

Additional Information

  • Confirmation will be received at time of booking
  • Don’t forget to bring sunscreen, hats, sunglasses, comfortable clothes and hiking or tennis shoes.
  • Not recommended for travelers with back problems
  • The tour start at 5:30am but the pickup times will be between 4am and 5:30am
  • May be operated, under request by a multi-lingual guide (Spanish and Portuguese)
  • A moderate amount of walking is involved at both attractions.
  • Waiver will need to be signed attesting to good health conditions

 


 

Cancellation Policy

  • For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • The tour start at 5:30am but the pickup times will be between 4am and 5:30am
  • This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.
  • This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund.

Essential Gear & Equipment for Your Kilimanjaro Trek

Proper preparation is essential for a safe and successful Kilimanjaro climb. As you will pass through several climate zones, from tropical rainforest to arctic summit conditions, having the right equipment is crucial.

Head & Neck

• Sun hat or cap, warm beanie, buff/neck gaiter, sunglasses, and a headlamp with spare batteries.

Upper Body

• Lightweight and thermal base layers, short and long-sleeve trekking shirts, fleece jacket, insulated down jacket, and a waterproof/windproof shell jacket.

Lower Body

• Thermal leggings, hiking trousers, comfortable camp trousers, waterproof shell trousers, and optional hiking shorts.

Hands

• Lightweight liner gloves and insulated waterproof outer gloves or mittens.

Footwear & Socks

• Waterproof hiking boots, warm hiking socks, spare trekking socks, optional liner socks, camp shoes, gaiters, and micro-spikes (recommended from December to February).

Tip: Bring enough socks to change regularly and keep your feet dry and comfortable.

Personal First Aid & Medications

• Sunscreen (SPF 30+), lip balm, antiseptic cream, prescription medications, cough drops or syrup, pain relief medication, and mosquito repellent.

Important: Please consult your doctor before travel regarding any medication required for high-altitude trekking.

Hydration & Nutrition

• Two reusable water bottles (1L each), hydration bladder (2–3L), energy bars, trail mix, nuts, and electrolyte supplements (optional).

Personal Items & Travel Documents

• Passport and visa, travel insurance, flight details, emergency contacts, camera, phone, power bank, waterproof bags, daypack (30–40L), and a duffel bag for porter-carried equipment.

Toiletries

• Toothbrush, toothpaste, wet wipes, hand sanitizer, quick-dry towel, biodegradable soap, and personal hygiene items.

Optional Equipment

• Trekking poles, binoculars, travel pillow, camera equipment, journal, notebook, cards, or other camp entertainment.

Gear Rental Available

Don't worry if you do not own all the required equipment. Hike Kilimanjaro Ltd offers quality gear rental services, including sleeping bags, trekking poles, insulated jackets, gaiters, and other essential mountain equipment. Our guides will also conduct a full gear inspection before departure and assist with renting or purchasing any missing items.

    I can’t say enough good things about this tour – we had an amazing time! Plan to be gone all day, as it’s a long but comfortable drive through NV, UT, CO, and. AZ. It was a hot day, but hey, we chose July so that’s on us, but the sky was crystal clear, providing us with some magical views of Lake Powell, Horseshoe Bend, and Antelope Canyon.
